It’s official: Gert Boyle is owning up to her unmasking as Oregon Health and Science University’s anonymous $100 million donor.

It’s official: Gert Boyle is owning up to her unmasking as Oregon Health & Science University’s anonymous $100 million donor.

She and Dr. Brian Druker star in a short and very funny video on OHSU’s Facebook page and on YouTube called “A Glass of Lemonade with Dr. Brian Druker & Gert Boyle.” A message above says, “Let’s put those rumors to rest.”

Boyle, chairwoman of Columbia Sportswear, made the donation anonymously, but was identified as the donor about two weeks ago by Willamette Week.

Boyle, who is 90, owns Columbia stock valued at more than $417 million.

OHSU is in the midst of a $1 billion cancer challenge. If it can raise half that sum, Nike co-founder Phil Knight will donate the other half.
