Both companies cite rising demand from an aging population.

Colorado's growing population of seniors has spurred the expansion of two home care franchisors in the Centennial State.

Both companies offer at-home help with day-to-day tasks, companionship and specialized care for conditions such as memory loss or hospital recovery to people who are aging in place.

Executive Home Care said in a news release that it has entered the Colorado market with the opening of a Parker office. The company will offer non-medical caregivers who provide at-home services to people living in Parker, Aurora, Castle Rock, Littleton and Highlands Ranch. Among the services offered are personal care, homemaking, companionship, Alzheimer’s and dementia care and round-the-clock, live-in care for seniors and people with disabilities, the company said.

The new franchise location will be at 11479 Pine Drive in Parker and run by Colorado residents Janet and In Kim, who say they had their own experience aging parents who were helped by caregivers at home.

The second expanding franchise, Seniors Helping Seniors, has opened a new location to serve the Denver area including Cherry Creek, downtown, City Park and Highlands, as well as communities in Westminster and Commerce City, according to a news release.

That location has been opened by Sarah Verretta, a longtime certified nursing assistant in the area who is now a registered nurse.

The Seniors Helping Seniors franchise seeks to offer employment opportunities and cultivate meaningful relationships by hiring senior caregivers, according to the release. The franchise now has a network of more than 200 locations across more than 30 states and international markets.

Both companies in their announcements cited an anticipated rise in demand for at-home services as mature populations continue to grow.

"We immediately realized the intangible benefits it provided for our parents," Janet and In Kim said of in-home care on their company website. "It preserved their dignity, greatly improved their independence, and provided the rest of the family peace of mind."
